Review|Imagine (2008)

Category: Music
Genre: Dance & DJ
Artist: Armin van Buuren

Current World's No. 1 DJ Armin van Buuren is back with another artist album. I've been listening to it and here are my thoughts.

The 1st track caught me off guard for a bit. I was really trying to figure out what was happening with the track with the piano and guitar solos. Then it finally goes into what we want... TRANCE! Yes, yes, and YES this album is just that straight up trance. Going Wrong (lead single) is my current fave it has that anthem feel [sort of like Love You More but a bit faster]. AvB went with various female talent for his other vocal trance tracks but was able to maintain the album's flow. It wasn't everywhere all at once and actually had a nice flow to it. The vocals and production were top notch. I'm really liking Hold On To Me (ft. Audrey Gallagher) also In and Out of Love (ft. Sharon den Adel) [back to back gems!], Fine Without You (ft Jennifer Rene) is one of the tracks I liked as well.

He's been busy touring and with his weekly radio show but still manages to put out a nice trance album. We should be seeing these tracks in DJ sets, compilations, and hopefully remixes very very very soon.

A word from the Cobra Emperor:

Get this album NOW. This, I command!

Coron Labor Day Weekend Getaway

The weather wasn’t as cooperative as we would’ve liked but I think we made the most of it :D [waiting for our flight to Busuanga] We went to the saltwater hot spring, island hoping, and had a whole lot of fun at Loralee’s luau. [The water is FIIIIINE!!!] [dinner at Bistro Coron] [Happy Birthday Loralee :D] Coron is one heck of a lovely place… just remember to bring mosquito repellent. http://www.flickr.com/photos/bnycastro/tags/coron_0509

Darth Kegaw to Treo 750: It is Useless to Resist

I have never been one to keep my devices *as is* when it comes to the OS/Firmware… This 2nd Treo 750 will be no different. So I dusted off my old Cheetah files [trivia: the Treo 750 is codenamed HTC Cheetah] and decided to HARD SPL [this allows for non-carrier branded ROMs to be loaded] and flashed it to a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM. Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen… and the ROM loaded without any issues. I did notice that Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 was not included in this ROM not really a problem since I own the software as well.  I’m currently syncing my PIM data and will be installing my apps over the next few days.
