Bad news, Good news

The bad news: abrasion of the cornea again, this one is bigger than the 1st time. The good news: only one eye this time. The right eye.

Annual eye check-up

Had my eyes checked over the weekend. It seems I have neglected to have them checked for the past 2 years. My last visit / check-up was Jan 2011. My grade has increased but when it was put on test frames I got disoriented / dizzy while walking around so the doctor says I should maintain my current glasses. The small tear in my retina (repaired back in 2009) looks good. My eye pressure and all other things seems fine. The doctor says he will see me next year. via GMail

2007-Nov CCRP Summary [and finished...]

Image
November 2007 Cigarette Consumption Reduction Program (CCRP). A = Allowed C = Consumed U (O) = Under (Over) -- Disastrous... This is at 6 days into the month and I am already over my allowed cigs by 78 sticks or close to 4 cartons! If you read the October report preceeding this one then you know what I'm upto next. I'll still be keeping track of my consumption for reference. But this will be the last CCRP report.

2007-Oct CCRP Summary

Image
October 2007 Cigarette Consumption Reduction Program (CCRP). A = Allowed C = Consumed U (O) = Under (Over) -- Total failure... October is the start of the 2nd phase of my CCRP, which according to Smoke Free Bny: Definitions, Regulations and Sanctions should be at 25% reduction rate. From the data I'm still a little under 50% [almost same consumption as September ]. Looking at my November listing [on my PocketPC] I'm already over the limit and it's barely a week into the month and I'm already over my limit. So basically I screwed up October and November [already!], honestly I think I bit off more than I could chew. I'm not making any excuses so the sanctions still apply: no STAR WARS STUFF and no TECH STUFF for November thru December [Shitballs!]. Since Phase 2 isn't working, I've decided to stop the CCRP and will try to go COLD TURKEY. Everyone says it's the most effective method and I think it's high time I give it a shot. Now when I will do that I...

2007-Sep CCRP Summary

September 2007 Cigarette Consumption Reduction Program (CCRP). A = Allowed C = Consumed U (O) = Under (Over) -- Well I survived September! The next quarter of my program will be twice as tough hopefully I can make better progress. Force guide me.

2007-Aug CCRP Summary

Image
August 2007 Cigarette Consumption Reduction Program (CCRP). A = Allowed C = Consumed U (O) = Under (Over) -- I was able to consume 48 less sticks during August! Meaning I was able to cover the 45 Over I had for July . Woohoo! Tech ban lifted although of course I still don't have the moohlah [somebody buy my VAIO already, willing to let it go for PhP 60,000.00] or anything to buy yet [waiting for the newer pocket pc phones] -- End Report

2007-July CCRP Summary

Image
-- Ok so here it is the bottom line! July 2007 Cigarette Consumption Reduction Program (CCRP). A = Allowed C = Consumed U (O) = Under (Over) -- As you can see from the graph I've went over by 45 sticks [that's 2.25 packs], looking at the data it was during my business trip to China [07-18 to 07-20] that I really went over board. The rest of the times I was either within the daily limit or just a stick or two over. -- So what does this mean...? -- Basically it means I have to smoke 45 less sticks this August. -- Going overseas was an unforseen situation but I cannot modify my program if it will be detrimental to it. So it stays the same for now. -- Over by 45 sticks in 31 days. That's about 1.5 sticks a day, not all that bad if you average it out [thanks Jill for pointing this out]. -- The first Quarter of this program was designed to reduce consumption by 50% even though I went over in July by trying to stick to the program I am not consuming at my usual pace. It's a co...

Acute Insomnia

I think I have acute insomnia, I've been having trouble catching Zs for the past few weeks... Hopefully this doesn't develop into full blown insomnia, the bad part is I feel tired when I'm at the office, sometimes I even doze off in my chair (and that's with coffee and tea in my system) fortunately I haven't smacked my face down on my keyboard yet. Not suprisingly it's 1:27AM my mind is still racing I'm shutting down my UX after publishing this so I ain't tempted to surf till dawn.

Smoke Free Bny: Definitions, Regulations and Sanctions

Going over in my head on what I posted the other day. I've decided I'm serious about quiting. So here are some definitions, regulations and sanctions for my lil project. Cigarette - any brand regular, lights or 100's are considered as 1 stick be it imported or local. Daily Limits - I'd say my conservative average would be 10 sticks per weekday (Mon thru Thur) which is 40, plus 30 sticks per weekend (Fri thru Sun) which is 90 so that's 130 per week. If I want to cut down 50% in 1st Quarter of this project I'd have to bring that down to 5 sticks on a weekday 15 on a weekend. For the 2nd Quarter I'd have to go 3 for weekdays and 7 on weekends. Tally - Daily limits are not commulative and are not to be stacked (i.e. If I smoke 3 sticks on a Monday I still can't smoke 7 on a Tuesday). Everytime I light up I input it to my Excel file. If I light 1 regardless if I finish it or not its counted as 1. Puffing is not allowed, a puff is counted as 1 stick as well. S...
