Advance Posts!

I'm off to Baguio for the New Year [will be back on the 2nd of January], probably won't have internet access. So I'll be posting some stuff in advanced. I really wish I could stay in Manila for this NEW YEAR I've never been in town to join in the festivities and parties for the New Year :o(, this year it's worst cause 3 friends are in town for a limited time only [2 from the US, 1 from Bangkok]... dammit! What's worst is I won't be having fun at Baguio at all will probably be just nagged by my parents the whole time and loose sleep. Boooh!

Party Report|Calypso Events pts. Ferry Corsten LEF

-- Christmas Day, Manila. Ferry Corsten rocked the socks of everybody at the WTC! -- Venue/Parking: World Trade Center in Pasay. By far my fave venue in Manila. Again we came early around 11pm and the parking wasn't full yet still 30PhP... It seemed to me and my friend Tiu that this was a mistake and that we would be bored shitless for a whole night... thankfully we were wrong! -- Ticket Price/Entrance Procedure: General Admission P1,000.00 with one free drink VIP Premium Table P20,000.00 for 10 pax with 2 bottles of liquor VIP Table P15,000 for 10 pax with 1 bottle of liquor -- Not too many people were in line so we weren't hassled that much, besides we got comp VIP tickets hehehe. Come to think of it there weren't too many people at the whole event at all... BIG MISTAKE FOOLS!!!! FERRY DISHED OUT AN AWESOME SET!!! Not that the venue was empty or anything like that but it wasn't as packed as other events I've been too. Still this has it's upsides like not being

Review|HTC S310

Ok as promised here's the review of my new mobile. The HTC S310 this one will be a bit shorter than my TyTN review. By the way I named this device: Bean_S310 -- I was at V-Mall yesterday and I happened by the shop where I bought my TyTN from, I saw that they didn't have the TyTN on display anymore [they only had 2 units the last time]. They had a Qtek 9100 [HTC Wizard], a dopod 838 pro [HTC Hermes], and a HTC S310 [HTC Oxygen]. Now I went in asked how much the S310 was since I was in need of a mobile for my Globe SIM. I didn't want to get a normal phone since I hate it when my devices are not in sync. So I went ahead and bought the S310. I couldn't wait for the dopod c720w [HTC Excalibur] anymore since I need my Globe line mostly for work. -- So let's get on with the review: -- Specifications: Form factor: Candybar type Operating System: Microsoft® Windows Mobile 5.0 [AKU 2.3] Processor: TI OMAP 850 201Mhz Memory: 64Mb RAM + 64Mb ROM Input: Keypad [with T9] Screen:

New Phone... Review to Follow...

I got a new mobile yesterday morning... yeah yeah I know I was supposed to wait for the dopod c720w. Well I saw a HTC S310 and got it anyway since I just need a 2ndary phone for my Globe SIM. I'm still playing around with it and will post a review ASAP [it's the holidays so might post it later rather than sooner...]. I guess this could be my Christmas gift to myself :o)

The Beanster Blog™ Version 8.5

Blogger is now out of beta been using the beta for awhile and really liked the labels functionality. I bit the bullet today and updated my template. It's really easy to mess around with the template now. There's a wizard for most everything you would want to add to your blog! Really cool and user friendly. I've done away with the Quick Menu and have replaced it with labels... I think navigating using labels would be easier. I am having trouble with XML and my custom codes that I've scrapped around for... I get XML errors when trying to save oh well. Atleast I was able to transfer Google Analytics, Hit Counter, and gVisit Maps... the basics really. I removed music and the photo slide temporarily [must look for new content to slide]. Anyway that's about it for version 8.5.x I will probably be making sub-point updates once I get the hang of this wizard driven Blogger. Overall I am happy with Blogger right now.

Goodbye ExecBean you will be missed...

I've sold my O2 XDA Exec... it served me well for the past 5 ~ 6 months that I had it. I definitely miss the huge VGA screen and spacious QWERTY and SD expansion but am happy that I feel lighter as well. Admittedly it was a brick of a device, a powerful device for sure but a brick nonetheless. I am now on the lookout for a new mobile currently using my mom's Nokia N6108 as a spare mobile [for my Globe SIM]. On related news, the Brando aluminum case I ordered online for my TyTN hasn't arrived yet! Dammit! I wish it comes before the holidays so I can protect my device when I go to parties or what not. I'll be sure to post a review of it when it comes. I was looking at the HTC s620 [HTC Excalibur] and Samsung's i320N yesterday very tempting! I might wait for the dopod version of the HTC Excalibur [dopod c720w] or Samsung's SGH-i607 [BlacJack]. I was playing around with the Excalibur yesterday and I felt that the buttons were on the small side and quite cramped... w

Review|HTC TyTN Review

[Say hello to TyTN_BeAN ] -- [HTC TyTN: The Packaging is in Black and Green are HTC's Company Colours] -- Just got myself a HTC TyTN :o) -- I had to unbox it at the store to check the serial number (HT64XXXXXX so I knew it was from the newer batch with less issues) as well as the screen and buttons. I also had a screen protector applied :-) I was all set so I went home to play with my new toy (ehem... tool) -- First Impressions: -- [TyTN] [TyTN Open] This device is small compared to my Exec (duh!), just about the same size as my dopod 838 (HTC Wizard 100) but somehow it looked smaller probably due to the design. As I said in the past I like the TyTN (HTC Hermes 200) design more than the dopod 838pro (HTC Hermes 100) design, one of the reasons I snapped up this baby in the first place... :-D It looks very professional with a brush metal finished on the front, a healthy serving of buttons, a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a scroll wheel to boot! It's coloured silver and dark gray
