The Art of Brick by Nathan Sawaya Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in the Amsterdam. I have been a fan of Nathan Sawaya since I first saw his amazing pieces on the internet. So when I saw that he had his exhibit in Amsterdam, I made it a point to go. He has already exhibited in Asia and skipped the Philippines. So I was not going to let this opportunity pass me by. It features 2D and 3D LEGO art pieces, it is the perfect exhibit if you love art and LEGO. 16€ adult ticket includes the audio guide. If this exhibit is in your neighborhood you have to go. I have always loved LEGO. I think it might even be my fave toy of all time. I'm ashamed to say that I've only found out about these two sites today, I was googling for more info about the new version of the Millenium Falcon 7965-1 announced at NYTF2011. Eventhough I already have the 2004 version of this set, this has instantly jumped to the top of my LEGO want list. [Amazing Joker Costume] Last Saturday me and some friends went to SM MEGAMALL to take a look at the 2009 ToyCon. Lot’s of toys and lot’s of folks in costume! :D Posted some pics on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bnycastro/tags/toycon0609/ I got myself some LEGO magnets and a concept Fett by Ralph McQuarrie [it was his 80th birthday on June 13]. [Happy Birthday Ralph. Thank you for your vision…] I was thinking of conscripting to the Philippine Outpost but I don’t have a costume yet. I had thought they would help you make one but it looks like you need a costume before joining. [501st troopers from the Philippine Outpost] Had a lot of fun for my 1st toy convention. Will definitely be back next year.

-- Got a new watch! It's a LEGO so naturally you could customize the strap's length as well as the colour combination, also included is a rubber strap [but it's too small], an extra disc so you could replace minutes with world time. The face glow's in the dark a nice touch. It's water resistant upto 100ft. While I wouldn't be wearing this to a formal dinner it's fun to have a toy watch for day to day use and hey it's a LEGO!
