Review|HTC TyTN II Crystal Case Black

My friend Jose hooked me up with a crystal case for my TyTN II... Thanks a lot pre!

Installing the case was pretty straight forward you just snap it on the device and viola!

First impressions: well the glossy black finish is nice to look at. However it is a fingerprint magnet and it's a bit slippery. Good thing I also bought a shorter and thicker handstrap yesterday. It's not as heavy as my aluminum case which is a good thing. I can also use the device without having to open the case. Keep in mind though that the screen is not protected anymore with this case. Since it's a use through design you can access everything from the stylus to the ExtUSB port to the microSD slot which is a good thing. All the buttons and indicators are also very usable with the case on.

Comments

  1. From which website did you buy it?

Also, how is the durability when compared to the metal case?

I too use the boxwave's metal case(same as PDAir metal case) BTW

Darth Kegaw to Treo 750: It is Useless to Resist

I have never been one to keep my devices *as is* when it comes to the OS/Firmware… This 2nd Treo 750 will be no different. So I dusted off my old Cheetah files [trivia: the Treo 750 is codenamed HTC Cheetah] and decided to HARD SPL [this allows for non-carrier branded ROMs to be loaded] and flashed it to a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM. Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen… and the ROM loaded without any issues. I did notice that Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 was not included in this ROM not really a problem since I own the software as well.  I’m currently syncing my PIM data and will be installing my apps over the next few days.
