Tips & Tricks|Setup GMail [POP] On Windows Mobile

Setting up GMail POP on Windows Mobile is really easy.
--
1st on your desktop login to your GMail account and make sure that POP Forwarding is enabled. You may find this under Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP
nb: if you have a fairly large inbox it would take a lot of time if you do decide to download all your messages.
--
Now to the Windows Mobile side of things.
--
Create a New Account
Input your email address [un-check the auto settings] > Next
Select Internet e-mail > Next
Input your name and what you want the account to be called -> Next
Incoming mail server: pop.gmail.com:995
Account type: POP3 -> Next
Username [full email address]
Password
Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com:465
Check Outgoing server requires authentication -> Tap Advance Server Settings ->
Check Require SSL for both Incoming and Outgoing e-mail -> Done
Choose a Send/Receive schedule -> Tap Review all download settings and make your changes.
--
I'd suggest that you download headers only or mail only but not the attachments especially if you use DATA to connect.
