Review|Godskitchen Global Gathering (2005)

Category: Music
Genre: Dance & DJ
Artist: Various Artists
Just a few weeks after attending Godskitchen Global Dance I've been able to procure a copy of Godskitchen Global Gathering 2005 (special thanks to cam for letting me know that it's out na--Impecable timing dear!). Now for the review... Of course like the 2004 compilation this has 3 CDs, House, Trance, and Electronic. Let's get to it!!!
--
Appetizer, Disc 1: House: No umbrella drinks or strolls at the beach being visualized here! You'll probably be imagining something like a club or a big party. I mean smoke, sweat, lights and the taste of happiness in the air! A fantastic collection of body moving house and progressive house. A great first taste of this meal of a compilation.
Do pay attention to these tracks: In My Arms (Sharam Jey Remix), That Big Track (Lovin' You More), Back to Basics (Steve Lawler's Return to Rehab Remix), Say Hello, Steppin' Out (Soul Avengerz Club Remix), Love On My Mind, Stella (Tim Hudson Remix), Roc Ya Body 'Mic Check 1,2' (Jupiter Ace Vocal Remix), Bang Bang, Flashing for Money (Sultan Club Remix)
Main Course, Disc 2: Trance: What is a 'Global' compilation without Trance? That would suck right off the bat... fortunately for us the folks at Godskitchen thought about this as well. This CD is brimming with essential trance tracks for the trance addict in all of us. So roll out even more laser lights and put the volume up, and take the plunge into Trance! I consider this the main course since I am first and foremost a trance fan ;)
Watch these tracks: I Know You're Gone, Air for Life, Till There Was You (Gabriel & Dresden Club Mix), Arcadia, I Feel Wonderful (Cosmic Gate AM to PM Mix), Global 2005 Theme, UR (Junkie XL Remix), Lizard (Montana Remix) -- Picotto!!!, ccc-classic!, Time Still Drifts Away (Utopia Mix), Shivers (Alex M.O.R.P.H. Remix), Lyteo (Rank1 Remix), Dark Side of the Moon (Dogzilla's Pure Filth Remix), Without You, Sublime, Sunset, Adagio for Strings (Phynn Remix), The Other Side (Breaks Mix)
Dessert, Disc 3: Electronic: This CD is pretty neat alot of beats that you can bop your head with. Not sure if alot of people will appreciate this but it really is nice. It rounds out the compilation pretty well. For a total Electronic music experience. Nice!
Check these tracks: Jittery Heritage (Martin Eyerer Remix), Sweet Child O' Mine (Mylo Remix) -- yes yes it's that ol' GnR song!, Crockett's Theme (Linus Loves Remix), Geht's Nocj (Dominic Eulberg Remix), Atlantis (King Roc Remix), Lift Me Up (Super Discount Remix), Give Me the Nightt (Insignificant Others Remix), Beat the Bush (Tiefschwarz Remix), Ride the Pain (Jacques Lu Cont Thin White Duke Remix), Wait & See (Alter Ego Remix), Big & Dirty (Tiga Remix), Knartz IV (Abe Duque Remix), The World is Mine (Blackstrobe Remix), Technologic (Vitalic Remix), Believe (Erol Aklan's 'Feel Me' Re-work), Smile Like You (Fischerspooner Remix), Never Win (Benny Benassi Remix).

Godskitchen dishes out another generous serving of wonderfully selected and mixed tracks, that'll leave you craving for seconds. Bon Apetit!

Darth Kegaw to Treo 750: It is Useless to Resist

I have never been one to keep my devices *as is* when it comes to the OS/Firmware… This 2nd Treo 750 will be no different. So I dusted off my old Cheetah files [trivia: the Treo 750 is codenamed HTC Cheetah] and decided to HARD SPL [this allows for non-carrier branded ROMs to be loaded] and flashed it to a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM. Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen… and the ROM loaded without any issues. I did notice that Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 was not included in this ROM not really a problem since I own the software as well.  I’m currently syncing my PIM data and will be installing my apps over the next few days.
