Review|Nihonbashi Tei

Located along Pasay Rd.

The resto is well lit and seems clean enough. There's an A/C'd smoking area which is really nice for a Makati based resto. You know the food is good because the patrons are mostly Japanese nationals. Pricing is a bit high but it's definitely worth it. The 5 kinds sashimi (includes Hamachi, Maguro, Ika, Uni and Sake), happy to report that sashimi is very fresh the wasabi is fresh as well a rarity in most Jap restos that I've eaten at before and Katsu curry was filling and good, and also includes Miso soup. Also try the grilled Saba (Mackarel) which is very nice. The Gomoku Kamameshi rice was very flavorful but hardly worth the 45 minute wait if you're really famished. Here's a resto we can visit again in the future. I'd like to try the other items in the menu.
